The Gordon Bennett Cup has no predefined route, but it does have boundaries.
Before the race begins, the official competition area is defined based on current airspace restrictions, national regulations, AIPs and active NOTAMs.

🟦 Blue countries: ...Flights and landings are generally permitted, subject to local regulations.
🟥 Red countries: No overflight and no landing allowed.

For the teams, these borders are much more than lines on a map. They shape routing decisions, altitude changes and weather strategies throughout the race.
